Hi! My name is Susana Rinderle. I am a poet, singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress, born and raised in Pasadena, California, USA. As a late teen and adult I’ve lived in Los Angeles — west side, east side/downtown (Silver Lake and Highland Park) — Mexico City, Sacramento, Guadalajara, the East Bay (California) and Albuquerque (New Mexico) where I lived for 14 years. I adore the city’s manageable size, friendly people, gorgeous views, open spaces, celebration of creativity, abundant nature, cultural and racial diversity and long history. While I moved back to Los Angeles (Glendale) in 2016, I still have close ties to New Mexico and visit frequently.
I started playing piano when I was 6, and started writing music and original songs when I was around 8. Poetry came to me around age 9, and I started dancing when I was 14.
I hold a B.A. in sociology from UCLA and an M.A. in intercultural communication from the University of New Mexico. I am fully fluent and literate in Spanish.
